Ferguson Intermediate operates a thematic curriculum. Our annual themes are based on the Ferguson Journey and reflect our strategic direction.
The school community survey, community curriculum evenings, student and staff voice all contribute to the development of the annual theme which is then crafted collaboratively by the Senior Leadership.
Each term has a different lens applied to the theme:
Each annual theme has an overarching question to guide student inquiry as well as a finale opportunity. All Learning Areas are delivered through the annual theme and are embraced by the school whakatauki.
